The Library building and the University Archives remain closed to walk-in use. If you have a reference request or general archives question, email is the best way to reach us: illiarch[at]illinois.edu.

For questions that cannot be answered by email with digital sources, the University Archives may be able to provide an onsite visit by appointment. To maintain safety during the ongoing pandemic, we can provide a limited number of scheduled onsite visits each week. All visits are by advance appointment only.

Please note: Patience is appreciated. The Reference Team has developed a backlog of requests that require onsite materials during the quarantine period. We will continue to answer requests in the order received and will do our best to answer your question as soon as possible. RUSH orders are not being accepted at this time.

For non-archives questions, the Library will endeavor to provide virtual services during this time, including online access to collections and virtual reference service. Please see library.illinois.edu/covid-19 for further information about access to library services.
